September Studies 2021

For the month of September I wanted to challenge myself by doing 30 sketches with a limited color palette. My goal is to find new patterns and develop my artistic style over the month.

I also decided all the colors in my palette have to start with the letter “s”. As I was doing my research of colors finding ones like Sage, sepia, saffron, and Sacramento Green (apparently that is an official color), I decided that these weren’t all that exciting so I turned to my handy dandy Sherman Williams paint deck and looked for every color name that started with an “s” and built a palette with their colors.

My final selections:
Smokey Topaz
Sand Trap
Superior Bronze
Skyline Steel
Slate Tile

This September Studies is in no way affiliated with Sherwin Williams. I am just an interior designer with this color resources and found their color names to be more fun.
