Our Home : Main Bedroom Inspiration
I feel so adult talking about design inspiration for our Master Bedroom. It is just kind of surreal to think we are the Masters of the house so we get the biggest bedroom. With such a big step in life, I wanted to go bold with our design in this room.
As I started gathering inspiration for our home renovation, I tried to keep my mind open to all different kind of bedroom designs I came across. I found what was most appealing to me was going for a dark and moody bedroom.
I am personally kind of tired of seeing the all white and bright bedrooms. While those space are beautiful during the middle of the day with all the light bouncing and reflecting - I find that I don’t spend that much time in my bedroom during the day. And when it is time to go to sleep at night - I want to retreat to dark and cozy space where it is easy to relax. Here are some of my favorite images I have come across that have influenced my choices.
